WCMD Card #3: Embossed and die cut butterflies. Another fun use of an Elmer's product - Gel Pens.
I really liked the way they laid onto the paper. I applied a glitter gel pen to the embossed and de-bossed portions of the butterflies. The sparkle really catches light and attention. Be sure to use both the positive and negative of an embossed image... they play off of each other really well!

| The angle of the butterflies is slightly shifted, but the stripes are matched and horizontal |
 |
| Curl the wings away from the card for a little more dimension |
 |
| Underline a greeting with staples, this tied in well with the wire stems |

Installment number four is coming-up, come on back now, ya' hear?!
I don't think I've ever seen butterflies attached in this manner and I'm just simply amazed! It is so clean, so graphic and so perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of your card! The glitter portions turned out well! I was wondering what the tips were like? If they are skinny for fine details. This looks like it was rather small which I would definitely get a lot of use out of.
ReplyDeleteTerrific tips. I'm going to look for those gel pens.
ReplyDeleteThis one is my favorite. I love the colorful butterflies and that line of staples along your sentiment is just genius!
