Unscripted Sketches Christmas in July - yes I said it.

Ho, ho, ho and merry July to you....
It's Christmas in July for the Unscripted Sketches Design Team,
we are wandering around all the DT's homes,
making ourselves comfortable and getting to know each other.
You can see links to all the prior posts here.

Moving on...

I don't think you've seen my basement.
Let's head down there. Oh turn on the light....
don't trip over the litter box at the bottom of the stairs.
Sorry it smells, my daughter "claims" that she
cleans it every day. Please excuse the mess.
I NEVER come down here because it
reminds me of what a slob I can be. :)

Yes, I am showing you "my (I'm so ashamed) mess".
It's not the only one in the house,
but it is usually locked away and totally ignored.
Want anything? You can have it.

This is where scrapbooking and paper crafting items go to die.

Stamps.... just a few that I don't have room for.
And I'll probably NEVER use again.

And my cat. Cosmo. He likes to sleep down here. No one bugs him.

Well, that's my mess.
One day I'll make a full confession.
But baby steps right?

and me.... with not make-up, haven't done my hair at all.
But that's the real creative me!
Just keepin' it real.

And now for two random questions asked of each of
the Unscripted Sketches Design Team -

If you could learn how to do three things just by wishing and not by working what would they be?
1. I want to play the guitar, who doesn't want to be a rock star?
2. I'd love to dance like those youngin's on So You Think You Can dance.
3. Be perfectly organized. Yes. As long as I wasn't OCD about it. :)

What is your favorite hobby (aside from paper crafting)?
I'd have to say that I love to bake. I'd do it so much more if I had the metabolism of a cheetah though.

  4. Nice to know we're not the only family with an unorganized basement, LOL!

  5. I live in a 3 story house with a full basement. I guarantee you that my basement looks worse than yours--but it's almost all gardening and canning stuff down there. Now my sewing room on the 2nd floor--that's another story and then there's the attic storage on the 3rd floor...well, we just won't go there! I can't believe you have boxes of stamps that you are never going to use again. I wish I lived near you and we could work out something. My oldest daughter is a stamper and cardmaker; I am a cardmaker, too, but not so much a stamper, but we'd for sure find a use for your unwanted stamps.

  6. I am glad I don't have a basement; I am sure it would look like that but with stuffed shelves, too :)

Like you, I would love to have the "metabolism of a cheetah". That would certainly make it easier to visit family - they always want to feed people!

  8. Loved your entertaining post! I chuckled all the way through it! I admire your candid and open revelation of living a real life! Being totally organized is so confining and overrated!

  9. Ha, I've got a few rooms like this in my house. Seriously though, if you want to give away those stamps in the 2 WillCopy boxes, I'd love to take them off your hands. What do you think shipping would be to Texas???

  10. I'll help you clean your basement by taking those stamps off your hands. Can I have the cat too? He's adorable. I have a whole house that looks like that so a basement is nothing. lol Thanks for sharing the true you. Jearise in lorbys world at http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com

  11. Looks oke the basement and you too with out makeup...I prefer when a person can be itself.
Why don't you just sell those poor items here on your blog...I feel so sorry for all off them..being left to die there...I am very sure they would be loved in another house..............and see ink again..they must love that too being a stamp!
