At first I was questioning this color scheme. Totally up my alley, yes. But what to do, what to do with it. Then these little lovlies grew step by step.
First the rounded squared card. The squares were embossed with Versamark and clear embossing powder, layered and a white button placed inside the negative circles. I liked the simple "love you" to finish off the clean lines.
Second came the black card. I got a new punch from EK Success and this is my first creation using it. I loved the saying that happened to be in the same stamp set from SU! as the first card, then I thought to color in the closed spaced on the letters. I liked how it turned out so much that I returned to the first card and did it there too.
Third, the tiny gift/favor box. I was just dying to use these colors without so much black or white. And the embossed swiss dot patter fit perfectly.
There you go! This little collection really makes me think of a 50's diner. I keep expecting to throw a poodle in there somewhere.
Great job, Alicia! I too thought of a 50's diner (and a waitress wearing cat-eye glasses). My favorite detail hands down is the coloring inside the closed spaced on the letters. It's the perfect finishing touch. I also really like the font.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!!!
Aunt Alicia,
ReplyDeleteI love you and this card is my favorite. It looks just like Easter and my favorite thing in the world CANDY. Sophie Snow is teaching me how to draw and I want to send some pictures to you.
Hugs forever,
Lucy Noel
