Specific thanks

It's that time of year again, time to thank all those teachers in you and your kid's lives. I often wonder what to give, and I think about what I like to receive. Honestly the give that makes me happiest.... knowing that someone notices something special that's been done. So.... this year I am going to make an effort, not just to make something cute, but to write a note specifically addressing the teacher has done to change my child's life for the better.

Out comes the wood grain stamp from Stampendous..... this is actually the first card I made with it. Doesn't it layer so nicely over the ledger paper? I left the top edge exposed and used a border punch to make it even more "schoolish".  The apply is from my cricut machine (I love the basic shapes), then run through my Big Shot with an embossing folder, then sanded. The leaves are a sweet rub-on that happened to coordinate perfectly.

Last trick... the scallop borders on the front and back flap of the card are mirrored perfectly. I'll add a tutorial to show some of my hints and tips to do this perfectly.
