40th and such

So many wonderful days and delightful projects crossed my path over the past month. It's almost like I reach a boiling point and I have to cool down for a while, so that's what I did. I spent the holidays in California... home sweet home.

For the BIG news. I turned 40. Yes, the big 4-0. And I'm loving it. I feel great, especially since that horrid number is part of me for good. No more anticipation, no more dread. Now I can relax and re-focus.
I spent my 40th at Six Flags, on pukes' edge.

Today I made the first card for the new year. An uneventful card, not my fav, but I submitted it none-the-less. I figure there's nowhere but up from here!

I do have so much to share, so stay tuned!!!

I rec'd a sweet award from Jaclyn Miller, a fellow card maker, blogger and genuine darling.

By accepting this award I have to:
1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 8 things about yourself

So, here are 8 things you might not know about me:

1. My birthday is December 29th and so my middle name is Noel.
2. I just turned 40, and I will celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary next month.
3. I have a cat named Cosmo, he's black, soft and my cardmaking buddy.
4. I have three kids - Meagan 15, Madeline 13 and Alex 10.
5. I went to college to be a nurse. Still need to finish that one.
6. I have something called Benign Tremors. Basically, I shake all the time... and it's getting worse as I'm getting older. Not good for the fine-tuned crafting I LOVE.
7. I secretly want to be a drummer in a band. That would be so freakin' cool.
8. I am a terrible speller... but I am sure you all have noticed that! (I even misspelled "holliday" on my Christmas treats that I delivered to all my well-educated neighbors).

Well th-th-th-that's all folks (insert Porky Pig voice) :)

  2. Loved learning more about you. Thanks for sharing. :) ...and happy belated birthday - I went to Cedar Point with my friend for my 30th and after about 12 rides, we BOTH were on puke's edge. I have no idea how we ever did that as kids.
